It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a stalwart of both CGB and later CLCGB. Capt Shirley Taylor, retired, has sadly left this earth. 

Shirley had been O.I.C. at both St Paul's CLCGB, Haswell and St Saviour's CGB prior to the amalgamation of the Girls and Lads unit.

Shirley remained a staunch supporter of Brigade through the remainder of her life.

Tributes have been flooding in with Judith Lane saying "Oh my. So sorry to hear and such a shock. Thoughts are with the family . Take care from John and Judith", and Jan Mason saying "Such sad news, lm in total shock ... RIP Aunty Shirley ... love to our Kelly and Alison x"

Please join us in offering prayers for Shirley, her family and many friends.  Rest in peace Shirley, you will be greatly missed. A true Lady who inspired and supported many of the Brigade family.

The funeral for Shirley will take place Wednesday 1st May, 10:30am. at St Paul's Church, Haswell.
