Prayer Letter
Autumn 2018
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for
you in Christ Jesus"1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Prayer Points:
As we look back on our 125th Anniversary service and parade, we thank God for a great day of celebration together. We praise Him for how he is used the CLCGB for the the last 125 years in the
Church of Ireland. We thank Him for all of the children and young people whom he has brought to him and who have been discipled through the organisation.
As we look forward from this anniversary, please join with us in praying that God would continue to use our organisation for His glory and that we could continue to be His vessel for reaching children and young people. Please also pray that we would be aware of God's leading as he guides us in His plans for the future of the organisation.
This term, many of our groups are working through the Miniature Heroes and Marvellous Armour of God Scripture Courses, please pray for our leaders as they teach the children. We pray that the children's ears would truly be open to listen and that that seeds of faith would be sown and nurtured.
We thank God for the growth we have seen in several companies this year, we pray that new members would settle in quickly and have a real sense of belonging. We pray for leaders as they get to know new members, understand additional needs and consider how best to minister to them.
We pray for those groups who will be going to the Ice Hockey match in November, we pray that this would be a great time of fellowships where new friendships within and between companies would be formed. We pray that more than ever our companies would have a sense of being part of a bigger family and the body of Christ.
Please join with us in thanking God for his provision for us in the form of a grant from the Solomon Foundation towards our development work for the coming year. I am particularly grateful for this as it will allow me to continue in my role working with you and your companies.
Please remember Darryl Hewitt, one of the Brigade's Deputy Governors, in your prayers as he is currently unwell.
Please also pray for our Governor, Liz Butterfield, who is going through health problems.
