Will I have fun?

Will I try new activities and challenges?
Will I be welcome?

Yes, Yes, Yes, absolutely yes and all with those of a similar age in a safe, well-run environment.
All our leaders are vetted, DBS checked, and follow the Anglican church ethos.

“It feels nice to be part of a group who help each other and are friendly. It makes me feel special.”

Maddison, aged 10.

What do the clergy think?

“I have been involved with CLCGB since 1969 and have seen how precious it was and what a difference it made in my Parish, All Saints & Martyrs Langley, which had a huge Company. It brings what young people need to young people, it gives them friendship, it gives them fellowship and fun."

Bishop Jack Nichols

Volunteers Week 2014

font size

To All Officers, Helpers and supporters.

As Volunteers’ Week 2014 begins, I wanted to take this opportunity to say a personal thank you to each and every one of you for the time, passion and enthusiasm you give to CLCGB.

You play a vital role in supporting young people experience adventure and be a powerful force for good in the world. Thanks to you or members can experience exciting opportunities and achieve anything they want to.

In this very year, I have had the chance to meet so many of our volunteers and to see the fabulous work that they are doing all over the UK every week. Whether I’m presenting The Brigade Cross to a special individual, joining in as staff on camps (Yes washing up, cooking, cleaning) attending local meetings and events or delivering sessions at young leader training, I get to see first-hand just how dedicated and inspiring our volunteers really are.

Do you realise across the county volunteers from CLCGB give 45,227 hours every week to support their communities?

For this I want to say a huge thank you! Do join us on our Facebook and Twitter accounts all of this week to share and celebrate the wonderful work that every one of you makes possible.

I hope you’ll continue to lead, support, develop and inspire members for many years to come. From me personally, CLCGB NHQ staff and Brigade Council, please accept our heartfelt thanks for all that you do.

Audrey
Chief Executive Officer
