CLCGB Music and Drill Competition 2018

The CLCGB Music and Drill Competition will be taking part this year at the Hermitage Centre Whitwick, Saturday 29th September 2018 (10am-5pm approx).

We currently have a core of companies who attend yearly and it would be great to see some new faces.

To see how great this day can be watch the short video below.

Please see The Rules of the competition by pdf clicking here (658 KB) and the intent form by pdf clicking here (131 KB) . All questions can be directed to either Martyn Bedder (martynbedder@clcgb.org.uk) or Robbie O'Brien (robbieob107@aol.com).

Even if you do not decide to enter it would be really good to see some new faces in the audience (perhaps you could talk to one of us at the event about entering some members in 2019).

CLCGB Bands performing at Sandhurst

After last year's fantastic performance, CLCGB have been asked to provide a band to play at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst's open day (Heritage Day).  This year, the band will predominantly be made up of members from Beverley, Whetstone, St Peter’s Chorley and National Band. - nearly 70 CLCGB musicians in total.

On Heritage Day, the RMAS opens its gates to the public where they can explore the grounds and buildings and enjoy a huge variety of military sporting events, displays and performances.  Heritage Day is a huge annual event and attracts in excess of 10,000 members of the public each year.

The band will be performing twice - once on their own, at 1430hrs and then in a joint performance with Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums, at 1530hrs.

Family and friends are welcome to attend Heritage Day - admission is free and gates open at 1030hrs, on Sunday 17th June.  The day will conclude at 1600hrs, with a marching band display, performed by the Band of the Parachute Regiment.
