Who am I?

I'm Jason Greenwood, and live in Redcar in Cleveland (up north) and I'm passionate about the Brigade and the future of the Brigade.  I am very keen to learn about the history of this fantastic organisation we have.  I promote the Brigade in every way I can to increase numbers across the country.  

What I bring to the Brigade?

As an IT guru I lead on IT and telephony in NHQ, manage the website, social media and communications centrally in a voluntary capacity.  I look at driving down savings with technology, by introduced Skype meetings within Brigade, and implementing a digital VOIP telephony system.  I am on Brigade Council as an appointed member with a specialism for IT, to assist Council to spread messages wider, and use technology to promote the Brigade's work, and to look at continuously improving communications throughout the Brigade.

The most recent projects I have rolled out is the new Brigade Training On-line, which the Brigade offer our young people and leaders the opportunity to gain a NVQ in Youth Work Practice, also recently I've built the Brigade Online Stores.  The biggest project was the website which is now over 2 years, which keeps going from strength to strength, achieving over 132k page views since coming online.

Coming in the following months I am building an Online Membership system which will help track and manage each local companies and will be part of the annual accounts and returns by clicking a couple of buttons to work out the figures.  More information will be posted to the website in the coming weeks. 

What brought me to the Brigade?

When I was 9 my sister went to this thing called "Brigade" in Dormanstown, Redcar, a few weeks later I joined and have been in the Brigade ever since locally and nationally.

What do I enjoy about the Brigade?

I love all of it, however narrowing it down I like it when we all come together and join in the Fun, Faith and Fellowship.  The highlights are meeting the Queen at NHQ when she came for the centenary year.  I love going to Butlins each year which I have attended all apart from 1 year.

Something interesting about me in 10 words?

I am also a DJ, Churchwarden, and work full time.
